Educational Qualification
Senior Personal Assistant
Candidates must be graduates and should have a shorthand speed of not less than 110 words per minute along with a typewriting speed of 40 words per minute.
No essential experience has been prescribed for the post.
Personal Assistant
Candidates must be graduates with:
- Shorthand Speed: 100 WPM
- Typing Speed: 40 WPM
- Knowledge of Computer: Required

Age Limit
For both Senior Personal Assistant and Personal Assistant, candidates must have attained the age of 18 years but should not have attained the age of 27 years.
Age will be calculated as on 1 June 2026. According to the notification, candidates should have been born not earlier than 02 June 1999 and not later than 01 June 2008.
Category-wise upper-age relaxation includes 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PwBD + UR/EWS, 15 years for PwBD + SC/ST and 13 years for PwBD + OBC. Ex-servicemen receive relaxation equivalent to military service plus three years, subject to the conditions specified in the notification.
Pay Scale
The notification specifies the following pay scales:
Senior Personal Assistant: ₹9,300–34,800 + Grade Pay ₹4,800, Group-B (Non-Gazetted)
Personal Assistant: ₹9,300–34,800 + Grade Pay ₹4,600, Group-B (Non-Gazetted)
Selection Process
The recruitment process for Senior Personal Assistant and Personal Assistant consists of four tiers:
Tier I – MCQ Examination → Tier II – Descriptive Test → Tier III – Shorthand & Typing Skill Test → Tier IV – Interview
Tier I – MCQ Examination
Tier I will consist of 90 questions carrying 90 marks, with a duration of 90 minutes.

Candidates called for the skill test will be limited to not more than 10 times the advertised vacancies.
Senior Personal Assistant Skill Test
For Senior Personal Assistant, the required shorthand speed is 110 WPM.
A passage of 550 words will be dictated in 5 minutes. Candidates will then get 40 minutes to transcribe the dictated passage on a computer.
The maximum permissible mistakes are 4% of the total dictated words, i.e. 22 mistakes.
Each candidate will get two opportunities for shorthand dictation and transcription, and the better of the two performances will be considered for shortlisting.
Personal Assistant Skill Test
For Personal Assistant, candidates need a shorthand speed of 100 WPM.
A 500-word passage will be dictated in 5 minutes, followed by 40 minutes for computer transcription.
The maximum permissible mistakes are 4%, i.e. 20 mistakes.
Candidates will receive two opportunities, and the better performance will be considered.
Tier IV – Interview
The interview carries 10 marks. There are no minimum qualifying marks for the interview.
The interview will be conducted by the Delhi District Courts, Tis Hazari, Delhi. According to the notification, the final merit list for these posts will be prepared on the basis of the combined marks secured in Tier II and Tier IV.
Minimum Qualifying Marks & Negative Marking
For Tier I and Tier II, the minimum qualifying marks prescribed are:
UR/EWS: 50%
OBC (Delhi)/SC/ST/PH (PwBD)/ESM: 45%
Each MCQ carries one mark and there is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
Application Fee
The application fee is ₹100.
Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD and Ex-serviceman categories are exempted from paying the application fee, subject to the conditions given in the notification.
The fee must be paid online through SBI e-pay.

How to Apply
Candidates must first ensure that they are registered on the DSSSB online portal. DSSSB registration is a one-time process, and the generated user ID and password can subsequently be used to apply for examinations conducted by the Board.
